Jennifer Stanford received her law degree from George Mason University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond. She has practiced law since 2004, focusing on family law, traffic representation, wills and estate planning, and general civil litigation.
Ms. Stanford has litigated issues such as child custody and support, spousal support enforcement, division of property in divorces, and guardianship for elder family members. She has also litigated issues such as real estate and other types of contract disputes.
She has been a certified mediator with the Fairfax County General District Courts for several years and offers mediation services as well.
Ms. Stanford is conscientious of the fact that litigation can be a taxing process, both emotionally and financially, for her clients and strives to help reach an amicable solution to their legal problems. When that has not been possible, Ms. Stanford has effectively represented her clients in courts throughout the Northern Virginia area.
She is a member of the Virginia Bar, the Fairfax Bar Association, the Massachusetts State Bar, and has been a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Fairfax Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
